[Mod Post] Assignments are out!

As of an half an hour ago, all assignments have been sent! Please check your email, or log into your AO3 account and check the link available on your Assignments page!

(Your AO3 Assignments page can be reached by replacing "[USERNAME]" with your AO3 user name in the following URL: archiveofourown.org/users/[USERNAME]/assignments OR by clicking on the "Assignments" link on your Dashboard.)

We tried very hard to make sure everyone got the best assignment possible, but of course not everything is going to be a 100% perfect match. Please let us know if you have any concerns.

Reminders:

- Fics/art are due Dec. 17. You may post to the AO3 collection at any time, as your submission will be hidden until Dec. 24.
- On Jan. 1, you can post your story/art wherever you like (but not before, please).
- Fics should be at least 500 words long (1000 is better), artwork at least a couple hours' work.
- You are only required to fulfil 1 of your recipient's requests. As many people have provided a variety of options in each request, choose the parts you're most comfortable with.
- Please use the AO3's ratings/warnings and try to get your written work beta'd. In a pinch, we may be able to find you a beta reader.
- Please don't discuss your assignment anywhere your recipient might see and remember to thank your giver once the fics/art are in.
- If you find yourself in a position of having to withdraw from the exchange, please let us know as early as possible so we can reassign your prompt.

Submitting:

If you look at your Assignments page on the AO3, there will be two buttons under your Lord of the Rings Secret Santa 2016 assignment: Fulfill and Default. Clicking on "Fulfill" will allow you to submit your story/art to the LotR SeSa exchange easily, as it will auto-fill a few key fields, including which assignment it is for, which collection it belongs in, and your recipient's name. This is the best way to go about submitting your work for the exchange.

You can also post directly to the exchange collection by using the "Post to Collection" button available on LotR SeSa's AO3 profile page, although that will not auto-fill the same fields for you.
